Special premier access to the inaugural release of this new Cabernet Sauvignon project by Napa's first black woman winemaker, Victoria Coleman.

Trained by the likes of Warren Winiarski at Stag's Leap Wine Cellars and Michael Silacci of Opus One, Victoria Coleman is a trailblazer, being the first black woman to graduate in viticulture and enology at UC Davis. Following graduation, she worked a season with Erick Tourbier at Chateau Mouton Rothschild in Bordeaux. She was the inaugural winemaker at Bazan, crafted 10 vintages in China, made MC4 from St. Helena and was the winemaker for Lobo Wines since the 2008 vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon. The first vintage of her own project, Joviah is now available with two single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon wines, one from the Oak Knoll District and one from Atlas Peak. Subscribers will receive the link to acquire.

Established in 2003 by Hewlett Packard executive, Lewis Platt, this propery was developed with top talent in careful selection of plant material, clones and orientation, who later sourced the fruit for the likes of Littorai, Radio Coteau, Rivers-Marie, Ramey and Vice Versa. Located in the Freestone-Occidental area on the far west Sonoma Coast, it is predominantly on the sought after Goldrich soil. All this makes it one of the top CA vineyards for exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Winemaker Derek Flagel has worked alongside Michel Rolland, Aaron Pott, Heidi Barrett and began with Platt Vineyard consulting winemaker, Thomas Rivers Brown. The first release of these wines with the amazing 2023 vintage has already garnered reviews of 95 points to even a perfect 100! Production was limited due to the vintage, so initial allocations are likely to move quickly.
